For 'Part I', or 'BASIC' Certification Training, we provide a 2-day program using our Approved Certification Training (A.C.T.) Program which targets the main objectives of the certification standard. We provide an adult learning environment that has been carefully designed to foster a high level of knowledge retention. At the end of our workshop, your workers will feel confident writing the WSIB certification evaluation.

Certification is a 2-part Training Process

Part One : Completion of Basic Certification Training.
This training applies to all workplaces where certified members are required, and consists of four main components:

1. Health and Safety Law
2. Hazard Identification and Control
3. Investigation Techniques
4. Prevention Resources

Part Two : Completion of Workplace-Specific Hazard Training
Each Workplace will determine it's own traning needs based on the results of a workplace hazard assessment - conducted by the Employer. Employers are encouraged to conduct this assessment in consultation with the JHSC, particularly those who have received at least 'Basic' Certification Training. There is no test required for Part II Certification Training.

Both Part I & Part II Certification Training and Workplace-Specific Hazard Training must meet the strict training standard set out by the WSIB. Our in-house, proprietary training programs at Complete Safety Resources meet or exceed these government standards.

What Will I Learn?
The outcome of certification training is that certified members will have the knowledge and skills needed to fulfill the legislated duties of a certified member. This includes supporting their internal responsiblity system in preventing occupational injuries and illness, assessing and eliminating hazards, and enhancing health and safety performance.
